Where to Go in Banda Aceh and what to See
When i first time went to school 1978 and my teachers tell a story about Indonesian history includes about struggle of Indonesia independence before away 1945, most interesting topic was discussion about Aceh province. Curiousity, I asked myself where to go in Banda Aceh and what to see. I came to Banda Atjeh in the late of 1980’s unfortunately i could not make as free as when you become travelers due to the confict of Acehenese independence movement and the Indonesian army, ( now it has been solved for the time being by the peace agreement on 15 August 2005 ). It was happy trip for me, at least i have travelled outside from my hometown, Kalimantan to the northern tip of Sumatra seeing the hearth of Banda Aceh province before the Tsunami of 26 December 2004 which Aceh was devastated by the second largest Earthquake ever recorded in world history.
